- ARRIVE EARLY TO CHECK-IN
We ask that our Guests arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time. This allows you time to park, check-in, shower and get to your appointment On Time. Signs are posted to help guide you from Avondale Road. GPS is not always correct, Please follow Directions from your Email Confirmations or Website page Contact Us.
Our reservation software may adjust your appointment time to accommodate a full schedule. Should this occur, an email will be sent to confirm. Please Call the Spa if this does not work with your schedule.
Accommodation Guests: You MUST Call to Reserve All Spa Appointments. Spa Services are NOT Included with any accommodation.
Carpooling is appreciated whenever possible due to our Limited Parking space. Please park in designated areas, taking One Parking Space per Car. We do have parallel parking south facing for overflow if lot is full.

This time allows you all to check in promptly, shower and arrive to your appointment On Time. We ask that you carpool whenever possible as Parking is Limited. Shoji is a place of ZEN and ask everyone, especially groups, to respect our Quiet Enjoyment Policy for the sake of everyone’s Experience. There is an Automatic Gratuity of 20% for All Groups.
- QUIET ENJOYMENT POLICY
Our goal here at Shoji is to create a Zen and relaxing experience for All Guests. You have taken the time out of your day to Escape and we want you to Unplug & Enjoy your moment of Self Care or with your Partner. We ask that you please speak at lower volume when in the tub and around all spa areas.
To respect all guests, we ask that you please refrain from playing any music in
your private tub house (NO MUSIC) or the communal wet cedar sauna. Take in the Sounds of Nature, your rolling hot tub and the quiet time away from your daily stresses!
- AMENITIES INCLUDED
With all appointments, every guest will receive access to all of our amenities which include, our “Wet” cedar sauna, locker rooms, and cold shower.
- TUB SIDE TEA SERVICE
This is a wonderful addition to any Private Salt Soak and includes our Shoji Signature Tea Blend with Local, Raw Honey and Japanese Tea Crackers served Tub Side for your enjoyment. Please Ask our Spa Coordinators upon Check-In if you would like to include this Service for just 20.00!!
- OILS, SALTS AND BUBBLES
Absolutely NO oils, salts, or bubble bath are to be added to your tub for any
reason. Our tubs are salt hydrotherapy tubs with naturally occurring chlorine that keeps our tub clean.
The addition of any personal items as stated above is NOT PERMITTED.
- JAPANESE TRADITION OF BATHING IN TWO WATERS
We celebrate the Japanese tradition of Bathing in Two Waters.
After arrival, we Require All Guests to Shower and remove all lotions, oils, hair products and makeup before entering your private hot tub. This helps keep the water and hot tub clean for all guests. Need an Extra Towel? Just ask any of our friendly Spa Coordinators.
- WEATHER POLICY
We operate Rain or Shine! Each tub is completely private with walls on the left and right side, as well as the back wall that you enter from. However, the front is facing the national forest and there is minimal roofing in each tub house. This roofing DOES NOT cover any of the tub itself. Please feel free to bring a hat in the instance of rainy weather if you feel you would be uncomfortable with rain on your head or face. The only time we would have to cancel would be due to lightning or poor road conditions.
- CLOTHING POLICY
Being that each of our tubs are completely private, a bathing suit is Optional. However, we do not sell them at our spa so you will need to bring your own. We will provide each guest with a Yukata (Japanese style robe), sandals, and towel to use & wear during your time at our spa. We require a robe, towel, or bathing suit to be worn in all communal areas such as the sauna, deck, and waiting area.
- ALCOHOL, FOOD & BEVERAGE POLICY
You are more than welcome to bring any snacks or drinks to enjoy by your tub. We Do Not Allow Hard Liquor. Beer, Wine is Allowed with VALID ID. Limit 1 Bottle per Tub Please. Any Item in a glass bottle will Require you Check it in with our Reception Staff. We MUST WRAP ALL GLASS in plastic for the Safety of our Tub in case of Breakage. We will provide the cups/bottle opener for each guest.
